Mike Nees is a case manager for people living with HIV and the emcee of Atlantic City's Story Slam series. His recent stories concern power structures, social deviance, and our perceptions of reality. He studied literature in the New Jersey Pine Barrens, receiving his BA from Stockton University. His work appears or is forthcoming in The Forge Literary Magazine, Baltimore Review, The Masters Review: New Voices, Driftwood Press, New South, Typehouse Literary Magazine, Cleaver Magazine, Heavy Feather Review, The Greensboro Review, Hunger Mountain Review, and elsewhere. He lives in Atlantic City.
