Mike Nees is a medical case manager for people living with HIV and the emcee of Atlantic City's Story Slam series. His recent stories concern power structures, social deviance, and our perceptions of reality. He studied literature in the New Jersey Pine Barrens, receiving his BA from Stockton University. His work appears in Gulf Coast, Baltimore Review, The Masters Review: New Voices, The Greensboro Review, The Forge Literary Magazine, Hunger Mountain Review, and elsewhere. He lives in Philadelphia.
